Guitarist Andrew Marino holds both a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a Master of Music degree in guitar performance and pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory, a Bachelor of Music degree from SUNY Potsdam and has done substantial classical guitar studies with Jeremy Sparks of the Buffalo Guitar Quartet. Outside of the Marino Duo, Andrew frequently performs with mezzo-soprano Andrea Saposnik as Duo Voxara. Andrew currently serves on the faculties of Hoff-Barthelson Music School and Greenwich Suzuki Academy. Andrew enjoys lecturing on guitar pedagogy and history. He has given notable lectures at the Guitar Foundation of America’s 2023 International Convention and Competition, the 2022 NYSMTA State Convention.
Pianist and educator Jessica Marino is an active accompanist, collaborating with conductors across New York State and Western Connecticut. She now regularly accompanies Greenwich Country Day School and was formerly the accompanist for the Port Chester School District. She has collaborated with many choirs, instrumentalists, vocalists and opera companies, performing in the U.S., Austria, and Germany. She is currently on the piano faculty at Greenwich Country Day School. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She received the Susan Smykia Edell ’57 Award for Excellence in Piano Accompanying and served as the accompanist for the Crane Opera Ensemble.
